A 2nd Dixon resident has died following a 2-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 2 and North Frontage Road Thursday afternoon.
34-year old Misty Noah has passed away in a Rockford hospital from injuries in the accident.
76-year old John Brown of Dixon was pronounced dead Thursday at KSB Hospital.
Lee County Sheriff's Police report that Brown's minivan was traveling on North Frontage Road and crossed in front of a car driven by 31-year old Nicole Wagner of Tampico. Wagner, who was not wearing a seat belt, was traveling eastbound on Route 2 prior to the collision.
Police say that there were 5 juveniles from Dixon in the Brown van. 2 were flown by helicopter to Rockford area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Noah was a front seat passenger in the van.
The accident remains under investigation by Lee County Sheriff's Police. The crash took place just west of Dixon on Route 2.
