The City of Rochelle has recently put some money into the Hub Theater on Lincoln Highway in an attempt to keep the structure from deteriorating.
The key issue was moisture getting inside the theater which will cause further damage to the building.
During yesterday's program "Let The People Know", Mayor Chet Olson talked about the project. He said they need to keep the moisture out of the building before winter season hits.
The city has spent a few hundred dollars on the project so far.
Olson said that a developer did look at the building last Saturday. He said that a decision needs to be made soon on if the Hub Theater will be renovated in the future.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoons at 12:30 on Newstalk 1060 and rebroadcast Saturday mornings at 6 on Newstalk 1060 and Sunday morning at 6 on "The Coyote".
