Officials say that more than one-thousand jobs need to be filled before Thomson Prison opens. The hiring process starts in a week. The federal bureau of prisons will hold a job fair at the Northwestern facility from September 16th through 18th. Positions include inmate custody and programs, support and administration, and health care. Close to 300 people will be hired during the first phase which begins with the job fair, another 800 openings will be filled in the next hiring phase.
