A suburban man escaped serious injuries yesterday afternoon when the the pick-truck he was drving which was pulling a trailer crashed in rural Polo.
The accident took place in the 3,000 block of North Route 26 a short time after 3:30. 68-year old Joel Vigardt of Zion, Illinois was southbound on Route 26 when he lost control of the trailer he was pulling with his truck.
Both the truck and trailer flipped on their side.
Vigardt was transported by ambulance to KSB Hospital in Dixon for non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in the pick-up truck was not injured.
No tickets were issued by sheriff's police.
