Governor Pat Quinn, Vice President Joe Biden and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel met in Chicago to talk about raising the minimum wage. Biden says you can't have an economy that works when you have 24 million people working full time and living in poverty. Quinn used the event to call attention to the November 4th advisory question that asks if the state should increase the minimum wage. Emmanuel is backing a plan to raise the minimum wage in Chicago to 13-dollars an hour by 2018.
