In area news, more than 200 residents in Rockford held a candle light vigil at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center yesterday evening praying for 42-year old Karen Willams.
The Rockford woman suffered critical injuries Wednesday night following a 2-vehicle crash in Cherry Valley with a car that had 3 robbery suspects. The men have been arrested following an armed robbery that took place at a cell phone store in Belvidere.
Williams is a graduate of Rockford Jefferson High School and created an alumni association for former students. She was also a corporate attorney in Chicago and returned to Rockford a couple of years ago.
