The Unemployment rate rose slightly in Ogle County last month compared to numbers in June.
The figure was at 8.4 percent compared to 7.9 percent the previous month.
The jobless rate did drop for July compared to a year ago at 10.8 percent in Ogle County.
Lee County's unemployment rate remained about the same last month at 7.3 percent compared to June.
Overall, the jobless figure in Illinois is 6.8 percent last month. That's down from 7.1 percent in June and 9.2 percent for July of 2013.
State officials say that the numbers vary do the layoffs related to manufacturing suppliers and big construction jobs coming to an end.
