No arrest has been made at this time as Ogle County Sheriff's Police continue to investigate an armed robbery which took place early Sunday morning at the Casey's General Store off Route 38 in Creston. The hold-up occurred at around 4:30.
Reports indicate that a male subject displayed a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the store. He then left the scene on foot. No get-away car was seen in the area.
The employee at the business was not hurt.
The man is described at about 5-7 in height, medium build, and was wearing a dark green fleece type jacket and a white surgical mask. He also had dark skin.
The subject also wore a gray type t-shirt, a black stocking hat, and was possibly wearing house slippers.
