A new law will give military vets with disabilities an easier time to renew their designated parking placard. Governor Quinn signed the bill on Tuesday which will reduce the time and effort to keep a handicapped parking permit. The legislation exempts vets with permanent disability from the annual recertification process that requires an annual doctor's exam. The law goes into effect January 1st.
