The Ogle County Health Department has been selected to receive state funding for an anti-tobacco program for Illinois teens between the age of 13 and 18 years old.
Reality Illinois helps spread the word out about the tobacco industry manipulation, second-hand smoke, and cigarette smoking in the country.
The Ogle County Health Department will partner with Rochelle Township High School to form an advisory panel of students who will focus on preventing tobacco use among teens. Students who are interested on being part of the panel should contact Brian Kennedy at the Health Department at 732-7330.
Reality Illinois aims to show the public the truth about smoking dangers by doing anti-tobacco education and promotions during events in the area.
