The second annual Summer Country Jam is today at the Rochelle Municipal Airport. A great day of music, food and fun will take place at this event that is put on by the Rochelle Chamber of Commerce. Peggy Friday, executive director of the Chamber says it's an all day event that you can come to starting about 1:30. And Friday says there will be plenty of food and beverage, so come early. Summer Country Jam is a fundraiser that will benefit the Chamber and many local businesses. And over 130 volunteers will be helping to put on this event. Tickets are still available on line until noon today by going to rochellechamber.org. Tickets will be available at the gate for only $30, and parking costs $5. And to make it even easier to enjoy, an ATM will be on site. The Summer Country Jam lineup is a great one....Courtney Rau starts the day at 3, followed by a trio from the Carolina's in Dixie Still, then The Brian Lavender Band, and then it's headliner Joe Diffie on stage. Following Joe Diffie will be the Flight Deck After Party with Smokin' Guns. It's all happening today at the Rochelle Municipal Airport....Summer Country Jam!
