DeKalb County Sheriff's Police along with the Coroner's office report that the manner of death of 22-year old Steven Schulz of DeKalb was a self inflicted gunshot wound to his head.
Schulz was reported missing on the evening of July 7th. He told friends that he had planned to exchange guns with a man near Genoa before he disappeared.
Schulz's vehicle was found on July 8th north of Route 72 on Annie Glidden Road in the area of the bridge that crosses over the Kishwaukee River.
His body was found in the river on July 9th. His gun was also located in the water.
Authorities say that there was no foul play from the incident.
