School officials in Oregon received an update report this week on the construction projects taking place this summer.
The Geothermal work remains on schedule at Oregon High School along with wings at the Etnyre and Jefferson Elementary Buildings.
Wiring upgrades are also taking place in each building.
The new security doors for each school will not be completed until September.
Superintendent Tom Mahoney said that the district ended the fiscal year with a deficit of $575,000 in the 3 operational funds. They had expected that figure to be at 1.1 million dollars.
Mahoney said that the number came in lower due to state payments of $250,000 and the reduction of expenditures in the fiscal year.
The board approved the 1-year agreement with the Oregon park district for the use of Blackhawk Center. The lease agreement totals $170,000 for the school district.
