For the 2nd time before a judge, a Rockford man pled not guilty Wednesday in connection with the murder of a Monticello woman in Lee County.
36-year old Terence Doddy was in the Dixon courtroom on 16 charges in the murder of 44-year old Tonya Bargman. Authorities say she was choked and water found in her lungs following an altercation at a rest area off I-39 in Paw Paw on July 1st.
Doddy stole Bargman's car which he crashed on July 4th in Beloit, Wisconsin following a high speed chase with police.
No bond was set for the Rockford man in Lee County yesterday.
Doddy has also been charged with 15 counts in the murder of 37-year old Todd Hansmeier of Rockford. The victim was found beaten, stabbed, and burned following a fire at a Rockford business.
Doddy was back in Winnebago County court yesterday for a status hearing. He has pled not guilty to the felony charges in this case.
It remains unknown which murder trial will be scheduled to take place 1st involving the 2 killings.
