Three people have been arrested on theft charges by the Ogle County Sheriff's Office. On Tuesday, Ogle County Deputies began an investigation of items taken from a rural Byron address. Following the investigation deputies arrested 19 year old Jose Ramos of Davis Junction, 23 year old Alex Davis of Byron, and a 17 year old male juvenile of Byron for the Offense of Theft over $500.00. Ramos and Davis are being held pending a court appearance in Ogle County Circuit Court, and the juvenile will appear in juvenile court.
The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a forgery and theft on July 10th, which occurred in the rural Monroe Center area. As a result of the investigation, 25 year old Leanna Myers of Pecatonica was charged with Theft over $500.00, a Class 3 Felony, and transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bail.
After a lengthy joint investigation with the Illinois State Fire Marshall’s Office into an Arson which occurred in April of 2012, The Ogle County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest. 57 year old Lesa Johnson has been arrested for Aggravated Arson, a Class X felony. The incident occurred at a residence in The Mount Morris Trailer Park. Johnson remains in custody at the Ogle County Jail.
