A DeKalb man was injured following a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on south Malta Road East of Lang Road. The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office reports that a vehicle driven by 23 year old Jacob Doyle of DeKalb was eastbound on South Malta Road when he fell asleep and went off the roadway. The vehicle crossed the roadway and rolled, coming to rest on its side. Doyle was extricated from the vehicle and flown by Life Flight to St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford for non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff's Department continues to investigate the crash.
