A man was arrested following a reported theft at the Casey's General Store in Stillman Valley last night. The Ogle County Sheriff's Office responded to the call and reports that the suspect had stolen numerous cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter of the store. The store was open for business at the time. 20 year old Jack Mack, address unknown was apprehended on the southeast corner of town by deputies. The suspect gave an alias name and birthday upon being arrested. He was eventually identified through the fingerprint database. Mack was charged with Burglary, a class 2 felony, and Obstructing Justice, a class 4. The cigarettes were all recovered. The incident occurred at 8:46 last night.
