A Rochelle man received a sentence of 5 years in the Department of Corrections following a burglary that took place last year.
Authorities arrested 24-year old Xavier Thomas for the felony offense.
The break-in took place in October of 2013 in the 1,000 block of Forest Court in Rochelle. Entry was gained through a window at the home.
Police found a lap top computer along with jewelry in possession of Thomas which were stolen from the residence.
