Lawmakers are planning to back off of their investigation into Governor Pat Quinn's anti-violence program. They were planning to interview the woman who oversaw the 55-million-dollar program next week, along with several other key players who were involved in making decisions. But the Justice Department is asking them to stand down. Federal officials say the state's probe could interfere with their own criminal investigation. Lawmakers say they don't want to do that so they are considering the request.
