Bond remains at $10,000 for a Rochelle man after he allegedly stole a mini-van on July 4th and ended up driving the wrong way on I-39.
Police arrested 35-year old Luis Pizano on the felony offense of vehicle theft and aggravated DUI. Authorities say that his blood alcohol level was more than 3 times the legal limit to drive.
Pizano allegedly stole the mini-van which was parked along 7th Avenue near Caron Road. He was apparently involved in 1 accident before he traveled south bound on I-39 in the north bound lane. No one suffered any injuries from the incident last Friday.
Pizano remains in jail in lieu of bond. He also received several traffic citations from the incident.
Pizano returns to court tomorrow for a hearing.
