Doddy appears in court for the first time in murder case

Bond has been set at $210,000 for a Rockford man after he was arrested in Wisconsin on July 4th in the killing of 2 people last week in the area.

36-year old Terence Doddy was arrested after he crashed the stolen car he was driving off Highway 81 near Beloit. He was wanted for the murder of 37-year old Todd Hansmeier of Rockford and 44-year old Tonya Bargman of Monticello, Illinois who was killed at a rest area near Paw Paw in Lee County.

Authorities say that cocaine was found in Doddy system when he was arrested on Friday. He returns to court in Rock County on July 25th for an extridition hearing.

Doddy appeared in court yesterday through a video feed from jail. He was sitting in a wheel chair and had a black eye. He was hospitalized for a couple of days following his arrest.

No date has been set on when Doddy will be extridited to Rockford for the murder of Hansmeier. Lee County officials are working with the Winnebago County State's Attorney office involving the case. No charges have been filed so far in Lee County in the killing of Bargman.

Doddy faces 3 counts of 1st degree murder in Winnebago County. He remains in jail in lieu of bond.
