Rochelle police are investigating a report of an attempted abduction of a woman which took place yesterday morning in the Hub City.
Authorities received a 9-1-1 call a short time after 8:30 involving a woman who was walking home on Intermodal Drive and was being followed.
The woman told police that a heavy set white male with short dark hair was driving a maroon 4-door sedan and stopped next to her. She was then forced into the back seat of the car by the male subject.
The woman was able to exit the vehicle and was not hurt. The male driver then continued east on Intermodal Drive.
Local police were able to locate the woman following the phone call.
