Lee County murder case (Updated)

Illinois State Police continue to look for a Rockford man in connection with 2 murders which took place this week.

36-year old Terrence Doddy is wanted for the killing of a Rockford man on Monday and the murder of a Monticello, Illinois woman Tuesday evening at the I-39 Willow Creek rest area near Paw Paw in Lee County.

State Police say that surveillance footage from the rest area indicate that 44-year old Tonya Bargman left the rest room and was then attacked by a male subject. Doddy was seen leaving the area in Bargman's car.
The license plate of the vehicle is BARGMN2.

An arrest warrant was issued earlier in the week for Doddy for the murder of 37-year old Todd Hansmeier of Rockford. His body was found following a fire at a marketing business on Monday.

Hansmeier, an insurance salesman, died from trauma to the head and neck. He was also found burned by firefighters.

Police say Doddy and Hansmeier knew each other.

Authorities found Hansmeier's car at the rest area in Lee County Tuesday evening. They believe Doddy drove the vehicle from Rockford following the altercation.
