The Illinois Department of Agriculture will be out spraying for gypsy moths next week. Officials say they'll treat about 38-thousand acres in Boone, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, LaSalle, Stephenson, Will, and Winnebago counties Monday, June 30th. The gypsy moth feeds on trees and shrubs and has been known to strip the plants bare. That can eventually cause the trees to die.
