3 Vehicle Accident on I-39 Friday

There were no serious injuries following a three vehicle accident on I-39 Friday.  Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Monroe Center and Stillman Valley Ambulance responded to the accident in the south bound lane near mile marker 113.  Reports indicate that a vehicle driven by 24 year old Isaac Miller of Wonewoc, Wisconsin failed to slow and ran into the back of a vehicle driven by 54 year old William Miller of Woodstock, Connecticut.  The first vehicle then hit a third vehicle driven by 71 year old Dale North of Janesville, Wisconsin.  26 year old Jessica Miller, of Wonewoc, a passenger in unit one was transported to Swedish American Hospital by Stillman Ambulance with minor injuries.  And, 71 year old Elizabeth North of Janesville, a passenger in unit three was transported to Saint Anthony Hospital by Monroe Center Ambulance also with minor injuries. Isaac Miller, the driver of unit one, was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident and was given a court date.

On Friday,  Thomas Norris Jr. was transported to the Ogle County Jail from the Morris Police Department. He had been arrested on a warrant for Electronic Harassment. Norris was unable to post the $5,000 bond and remains in the Ogle County Jail. He will appear in court on Monday
