Rochelle man remains in jail following shooting

Bond remains at $500,000 for a Rochelle man following a shooting last Friday night in the Hub City that injured a 17-year old boy.

23-year old Michael Maise Jr. was arrested on the charge of aggravated battery of a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

The shooting took place in front of 322 South Main Street. An argument occurred with individuals who are involved in gangs during a party.

3 to 4 shots were heard in the area. The teen suffered a leg injury from the shooting.

Maise returns to court on Friday for an arraignment. He remains in jail in lieu of bond.

Maise was convicted of the felony offense of burglary in November of 2011.
