The unemployment numbers fell in 10 of the 12 metropolitan areas in Illinois last March.
This includes Rockford where the number was 10.9% last month compared to 11.8% in 2013.
Other than Danville, Rockford has the highest jobless rate out of the 12 metropolitan areas. Danville totaled 11.1%.
Much of the decrease in numbers reflect a temporary slowdown in global manufacturing demand.
Non-farm jobs in Rockford totaled 145,400 last month, down 800 from March of 2013.
