A new audit shows Illinois taxpayers have paid over 12-million dollars in medical costs for dead people. House Minority Leader Jim Durkin says that's not only unacceptable, but it's a reflection of the Democrats' inability to lead. He adds that the payments are a direct result of the state's decision to terminate a third-party company that was cleaning up the Medicaid rolls last year. The company's contract was cancelled after an arbitrator ruled the state's union workers should be used to clean the program rolls. That decision came after the company had already caught tens-of-thousands of people who were ineligible to receive Medicaid.
