A Leaf River man has received a sentence of 4 years in the Department of Corrections after he pled guilty to an armed robbery and unlawful use of a debit card following a residential burglary.
Authorities arrested 43-year old Ronald Medlin on the felony charges.
The hold-up took place at the Citgo gas station on Route 72 in Leaf River in January of 2013. Medlin displayed a knife and stole money from the business. No 1 suffered any injuries during the armed robbery.
The break-in occurred at a home in rural Leaf River in December of 2012.
Medlin must also pay restitution in the amount of $1,380 from both cases.
The Leaf River man was on parole from the Department of Corrections for a previous armed robbery that took place in St. Charles.
