A Rochelle woman and 3 of her children suffered injuries yesterday afternoon following a 2-vehicle crash on I-39, north of the Hub City near Route 64.
Reports indicate that a car driven by 35-year old Leslie Zepeda of Rochelle was traveling north bound on I-39 when she reared ended a Jeep driven by 42-year old Mark Detwiler of Woodstock.
The Jeep rolled over 1 time before coming to a stop.
Zepeda and her 3 children were transported by ambulance to Rochelle Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Detwiler refused medical treatment at the scene.
Zepeda was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Traffic was backed up for a period of time in the north bound lane of I-39 yesterday afternoon as the crash took place a short time after 4:30.
