Governor Quinn says he wants to construct and upgrade infrastructure statewide to the tune of 14-billion dollars. Yesterday, he announced his new public works construction plan. Eight-million dollars are designated for roadwork. One of the projects is the repair of I-55 at Sherman, which includes a new multi-million dollar bridge deck. Quinn's plan also calls for one-point-nine-billion in spending on mass transit, three-billion on rail and 800-million for airports.
