The Rochelle Little League season begins next week for area boys and girls to enjoy.
Games begin on the Major League field on Tuesday with the opening day ceremony scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd at 10am.
More than 400 boys and girls will be involved in the Little League porgram this year in Rochelle. President Jason Knight said that 1 change they made this season is to eliminate the Senior League for area boys. They will play in high school summer games at RTHS.
Knight was a guest yesterday on the program "Let The People Know".
Rochelle will be hosting 3 District All-Star Tournaments this summer. They include 10-11 and 13-14 year old boys and 9-10 year old girls.
Rochelle will also host the 11-12 year old Sectional baseball tournament.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoons at 12:30 on Newstalk 1060 and re-broadcast Saturday mornings at 6 on Newstalk 1060 and Sunday mornings at 6 on "The Coyote".
