Gas prices are up nearly a nickel over the last two weeks. The Lundberg Survey says the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now at three-dollars-61 cents. Gas prices have been rising since early February. Demand is on the rise and refiners are in the process of switching to the summer blend of gas, which costs more to make. Los Angeles had the highest price for a gallon of gas at four-dollars-four-cents.
The high price for gas in Rochelle today is $3.65 a gallon for unleaded fuel, 4 cents higher than the national average.
