Residents in the village of Creston will see improvements in their streets once the weather warms up.
Work will be done on Transit Street near the railroad tracks along with seal coating and patching on roads on the south side of town.
The seal coating and patch work will cost around $45,600 as motor fuel tax money will be used for the project. The work on Transit Street will have a price tag between 15 to 18 thousand dollars.
Byro hopes that the water meter project at homes in Creston begins by June 1st. 6 homes still need to be completed as 2 are empty.
Board members received the annual financial report last night. The numbers will be talked about during the May meeting.
Village officials continue to talk with I-DOT representatives dealing with the drainage problem near Casey's General Store along Route 38. A final decision has yet to be made.
