Illinois State Police handled a two vehicle accident Wednesday morning at 7:30 on I-39 near Rochelle. Police say a vehicle driven by 23 year old Jordan Manion of LaMoille was merging southbound onto I-39 from Route 38 when he lost control and veered into the left lane causing a semi driven by 31 year old William Jansen of Baileyville to crash into him. The Manion vehicle went into the median while the Jansen semi lost control and came to rest near the railroad tracks. Manion was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions. Jansen was transported by Rochelle ambulance to Rochelle Community Hospital.
A Davenport, Iowa man was arrested by Illinois State Police after an incident on I-88 Tuesday around 7pm. 28 year old Antwone Morgan was charged with Domestic Battery and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. He was taken to the Lee County Jail.
Two people were arrested by Illinois State Police following a traffic stop Wednesday night just after 11 o'clock. 29 year old Charles Patterson of Rockford was charged with Driving While License Suspended and Speeding. He posted bond and was given a court date in Ogle County. A passenger, 42 year old Robert Bowen of Peoria was wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant for a parole violation. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail in Oregon.
