A Roscoe woman escaped serious injuries yesterday morning following an alcohol related roll over crash near Creston.
The accident took place a short time before 3:30 in the 18,500 block of Route 38.
Reports indicate that 20-year old Desiree Starzyk of Roscoe was east bound on Route 38 in her Honda when she lost control of the vehicle. The car left the highway and over turned in the ditch.
Starzyk refused medical treatment at the scene. Ogle County sheriff's police arrested her on the charge of DUI, illegal consumption of alcohol as a minor, along with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Starzyk was transported to the Ogle County jail in lieu of bond following the arrest.
