A Byron man was back in Ogle County court Friday for an arraignment in connection with an alleged sexual abuse incident on New Year's Day.
28-year old Judah Pearl has been charged with 2 counts of the Class 2 felony offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and the Class 3 felony of indecent solicitation of a child.
The arrest stems from an alleged incident that took place January 1st involving a female juvenile in the Byron area. Authorities say that Pearl knew the victim.
In court yesterday, he was given a preliminary hearing date of January 22nd in Oregon. At that time, Pearl will plead guilty or innocent to the charges.
He remains in jail in lieu of the $250,000 bond.
