Rochelle City Clerk Bruce McKinney was recently appointed to the Legislative Commitee for the Illinois Municipal League.
The committee will be involved with issue analysis and the development of an annual legislative agenda.
McKinney said that it's important that the state legislators receive input from local leaders if we hope to find solutions to improve the lives of citizens in Illinois.
The Illinois Municipal League was founded in 1913 and has over 11 hundred communities as part of the organization.
Their mission is to keep decision making local.
