Ogle County sheriff's police are seeking help from the public in locating a Rockford man wanted in connection with a residential burglary and armed violence incident that took place near Davis Junction on Christmas Eve at around 2 in the afternoon.
Police responded to the 15,000 block of East Route 72 following a report of a residential burglary in progress. A male subject was found in the home as he allegedly threatened the victim with a metal bar.
The suspect was later identified as 56-year old Terry Maxwell, formerly of Davis Junction, as he led Ogle County sheriff's police on a high speed chase into Winnebago County. The 1999 Dodge Concord was found several days later in Rockford used during the high speed pursuit.
An Ogle County warrant with bond set at $500,000 has been issued for the arrest of Maxwell who was last known driving a white 1997 Chevrolet Malibu 4-door with Illinois license plate R998548.
Maxwell was released from prison in September of last year and is currently out on parole for the felony offense of residential burglary.
