No one suffered any injuries last night following a 1-story house fire in Rochelle.
The blaze was noticed a short time after 8 at 722 North 3rd Street, the residence of Rick Downing.
Rochelle Fire Lieutenant Dave Sawlsville said that flames were coming from the back portion of the house when the 1st truck arrived on the scene. The cause of the fire appears to be electrical in nature.
Cost damage is estimated to be around $35,000. Downing was not at home when the fire started last night.
Fire crews were on the scene for around 2 1/2 hours.
