In area news, teachers in the North Boone School District have voted its intent to strike due to the lack of a new contract.
The union has been working without a contract since June 30th. 110 employees are part of the union.
The key issues in negotiations include salary, schedules, and benefits.
The union must give 10 days notice that they plan to strike. They can not walk off their jobs until 14 days after a final offer has been made public.
The North Boone School District has 1,665 students.
Negotiations between the union and the district started last March. They continued last night without an agreement reached.
