Candidates in Ogle and Lee Counties who want their name on the March 18th Primary Election ballot can begin to file their petitions today.
The county clerk office's will be open for 3 days this week and also on Monday, December 2nd.
Races in Ogle County include for Sheriff, State's Attorney, Clerk and Recorder, and Treasurer.
There is 1 county board member up for re-election in each of the 8 districts. The list includes Kim Kirkolis, Pat Nordman, Bobbie Colbert, Bruce McKinney, Dan Janes, Lee Meyer, Rich Gronewold, and Lyle Hopkins.
Lee County also has races for Sheriff, Clerk and Recorder, and Treasurer along with the 4 county board districts.
The Superintendent for the Regional office of Education will also be on the ballot.
Area voters will also decide their State Senators and Representatives during the primary election.
Candidates for governor will also be on the ballot in the party they represent.
