The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk of Rockford will take place on Saturday, October 17th at Rock Valley College. Making Strides is a 3 mile, non-competitive, fundraising walk to raise awareness and funds to finish the fight against breast cancer. There is no registration fee for this year's walk and all are welcome, especially breast cancer survivors! Check-In, activiites, and entertainment will begin at 8:00a.m., the walk starts at 9:00a.m., and the closing ceremonies program will take place from 10:15-10:45a.m. More information about the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk can be found at www.makingstrideswalk.org/rockfordil.
