Farm women can have a key role in successful farm transitions. Creating a transition plan to ensure that a farm continues as a productive, agricultural business can be challenging. Managing for Today and Tomorrow, a five-session course offered by University of Illinois Extension, takes some of the challenge out of the process by teaching farm women about succession, business, estate and retirement planning.
The course is being offered in Belvidere, IL on Wednesdays and Fridays from March 4 to March 18, 2015 with March 20 reserved as a snow date. Participants will meet from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Boone County Extension located at 205 Cadillac Court, Suite 5 in Belvidere.
The cost of the program is $75 per person, which includes a 300-page workbook with fact sheets, hands-on activities, and presentations. A light lunch will be served during a breat at each class. Course size is limited, so please register soon. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this program, please call the Extension office at 815-544-3710.
